Surprise Rice with 34g of Protein

Seitan will always enrich your meal. Raw material is so simple to work with, especially the raw chunks of schnitzels. So this week I made a surprise rice, a rice I remember as a child from the time of eating meat, which my parents used to prepare with pieces of chicken breast.
The vegans brought me to try old recipes with plant products. A version with meat that cook the rice along with the chunks. In the vegetable version with the Seitan, I cook the rice separately, simultaneously stirring the pieces of the Seitan with a seasoning almost identical to the seasoning of the rice, and then unifying them into one big surprise. It is a recipe for 2 servings and each about 34 g of protein.

Preparation / rice
Pour the rice into a bowl and rinse the rice cup several times in tap water until the water is clear and set aside. Peel and cut the onion and carrots (I like to feel the green and therefore do not scratch it). If you want olive oil, then pour a tablespoon of olive oil into the pan, which, like me, saves calories, you can pour some boiling water for the onion to not burn. Let the carrots and onions taste, add the rice and fry a little together with the spices. Add 1.5-2 cups of boiling water. Bring the rice to a boil and lower to low heat until full cooking. I cover the lid with a towel, which gives the rice a nice brew. do not have to.
Preparation / Seitan
defrost the chunks, cut even smaller strips that sit well in the bite you take. Heat a skillet with some olive oil or a little warm water (just a quarter cup), only to prevent the seitan from drying up and burning. fry it with seasoning turmeric, paprika. When it gets a little crispy, transfer the prepared rice to the skillet and stir for another minute.
