Fun tofu shawarma

Ingredients:
150 grams tofu / about half a cube
7-8 medium fresh champignon mushrooms, chopped or thinly sliced
50 grams white onion / about a quarter of a large onion
Optional olive oil spray
Spices: Salt, a quarter teaspoon, finely ground black pepper to taste, half a teaspoon, turmeric, a quarter teaspoon, optional, a quarter teaspoon ground cinnamon. For frying, I mainly use boiling water, about a small cup to a cup and a half.
Instructions:
I like to cut everything into strips, it gives the dish a layered feel and the tofu is really matchstick-like (not too thin).
Heat a non-stick pan, drizzle 3 dashes of olive oil, fry the onion and mushrooms a little with the olive oil, about 2 minutes while stirring. Add the tofu and spices and stir for another minute, add half a cup of water and cover, we want there to always be a little water at this stage but not overflowing :) so that the onion softens but is not burnt and that the mushrooms do not absorb too much water. So take up to a cup and a half for preparation, start with half a cup and while stirring you will see how much to add.
Be sure to stir every minute, and cover in between. Add water if necessary.
After about 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir for another minute until the onion has reached the degree of doneness you like.
Eat alongside a fresh salad with cilantro and parsley or alongside light pita or potatoes if you have more carbs on your plate. Values for the entire recipe/using "Weiler Farm/Cherry Blossom" tofu:
